Is OpenCart slow? I’ll find and fix the cause
Out of the box, OpenCart struggles with large catalogs: product counters in categories, heavy filters, extensions running queries in loops, a bloated error log. I find what’s actually slowing your store down and fix it — no extra “speed-up” extension that breaks the layout.

Case · OpenCart cosmetics store
MySQL and CPU overload on the server
The store kept going down: the database consumed all CPU and the host threatened limits.
What I did
Analyzed slow queries, cron jobs, bot traffic and missing indexes, and removed the causes rather than the symptoms.
Result
Database load dropped and the store is stable during peak hours.

FAQ
FAQ
Didn’t find an answer? Just message me.
Which OpenCart versions do you support?
OpenCart 2.x, 3.x and ocStore. 1.5 is possible too, though upgrading first is often the better deal.
Won’t a bigger server just fix it?
Sometimes, but usually it’s queries and extensions. The audit shows where the problem is before you pay for more hardware.
Could the optimization break my store?
Changes are made on a copy or with a backup, and I test cart, checkout and payments before going live.
